3DM Worldwide - Superstock??
Bluebelle - Fri, 30 Dec 05 :
That's one of the problems. We just don't know exactly what the position is on any of these things.
I remember when I first saw the famous red truck. The impression I was given was that these things were about to be pouring of production lines in Detroit in their thousands. Turned out I was looking at the only one ! What market are we in ? Collectors' items? Sorry, Collectors item_?
Remember boat hulls? Again, the initial impression was that Southampton Water would be full of them in no time at all. Turned out here was no real deal.
Remember Silkwood? I'm sure Mike Walters does. But it hasn't delivered a cent.
One of the fundamental problems with TDM is that it's used up its fair share of goodwill (in the non-accounting sense) and then some. Until - and unless - it starts delivering at least one meaningful revenue stream, it runs the risk of ending up dead in the water. If I was CEO there I would cut the c**p; identify the area of the business - if there is one - which stands the best chance of generating cash, and focus on it, pretty much to the exclusion of everything else, rather than diluting my efforts individually and corporately, across a range of possible applications none of which, yet, has shown any signs of achieving that.
