Hurricaneisabel,
I wish I could feel so confident - I imagine most long-term/long-suffering shareholders will put their head in their hands & emit a long, low groan on reading news of yet more development & testing.
[It also sounds like yet another project that, should it ever be proven, will inevitably need funding that, of course, will be reliant upon a grant being offered by some organization or other... and how are those other grant-applications coming along? At best, slowly...].
If this kind of altruistic endeavour is to be under-pinned by solid income-generation from another area [of which we, of course, know nothing] then fair enough. Otherwise...
Otherwise, it reeks of yet more tinkering, boffins let loose with a big pile of somebody else's cash, answerable to no one. I know a scientist who is involved in research work at a British University. He is - more or less - in a perpetual state of having to justify his need for money, with no personal job-security. A frustrating, nerve-rattling existence, but it certainly keeps him on his toes! How he must wish he was working for a company like 3DM [or one of its off-shoots]!
I draw more confidence from news that comes from independent companies, such as the order of a Rotoclave for Latvia... It is, I think, 3DM-related, but who can be sure?
On another note, has anyone [Madasafish?] attempted a serious valuation of this company? Does anyone even still have a handle on who owns what, and what percentage of a percentage 3DM are ever likely to receive should a PIM-product ever actually be sold? I must admit that such a valuation is beyond me.
