So many good suggestions and well researched cases on this thread.
It would be interesting to monitor how our collective punts compare against the "industry". Does anyone know of any financial software linked to markets where a virtual "investment trust" can be created, containing all the shares in Rik Shaw's list named before Jan 1st. We could "buy" a nominal £10k of each of the stocks to build a pooled investment with a value of 100, and compare its progress during the year against appropriate indices, e.g. FTSE-All Share, FTSE-100, AIM from a link in the header
It's possible to do this within personal accounts, I think, but I don't know of any live package that could be viewed by anyone at any time.
