The Director buying indicates that all information is currently known to the market. It doesn't mean that deals have evapourated, but possibly the Directors do not know the timing for commitments to production. That may be why the terminology has shifted from Bankable Deal to "Production Commitment".
I hope we are in a period where the players are holding their cards close to their respective chests and working behind the scenes to get their machine to market first. Because JCB has such a strong brand it may not feel that it has to be in the forefront, but possibly wait until the agricultural tractors are launched to assess customer response. On the other hand if JCB decided this was the time to leverage their brand into the agricultural sector then IVT with everything would be an excellent way to do it, in which case JCB would be very quiet right now. I do wonder where those 60 engineers are.
