According to recent surveys the automotive industry is poised to rebound, however, European demand for diesel engines is 'already' fueling growth of the diesel engine sector, and in Europe diesels are likely to exceed estimates of 45% - 50% of car sales. Over and above the European demand, there appears to be 'significant' growth prospects elsewhere, particularily from the US, which in 2001 diesels accounted for 1% of car sales! -
