"Following our victory in the High Court, the Court of Appeal granted EPI the
right to appeal. That Hearing has now been delayed from October to December 2005 with the judgment expected some time early in 2006. A total of #870,000 is now secured in Court against our legal costs for this action. We remain confident that the Appeal Court will uphold the Judgment of the High Court.
In March the Group raised a further #1.8 million to cover the costs of the legal case, strengthen the balance sheet and provide additional working capital."
Now EPI placed £870,000 in court against SYM's costs and that will come back entirely to SYM.
As for the "1.8m to cover the costs of the case and strengthen the balance sheet".
It is my view that SYM's costs will go to taxation and EPI will have to pay them IN FULL. The legal bods cannot claim more than the taxation officer allows.
All in all we should see SYMS balances improve by at least 1.25m on fundamentals alone that is worth the increase in price today and Goodwill on the basis of this result has not yet been priced in. But who the hell bothers with fundamentals when you can bicker amongst yourselves.
