Some of the final buying was short covering, but in these bankruptcy stocks there are always a group of people who either don't read SEC filings, or willingly choose to ignore them and/or claim the filings and the bankruptcy laws are somehow wrong, who think the stock is a good deal and buy right before cancellation. And they get stuck with the aforementioned wallpaper.

The old common shares have been cancelled. They will never have any value in the future.

We don't need time to tell. The law tells us everything we need to know.

Some one bought those millions of shares and it wasn't just for wall paper and it wasn't illegal, as someone knows that there may yet be value in the new offering of shares to any previous share holders....time will tell

I agree. There is no reason why it should not have been deleted at least by the time the bankruptcy became effective on the 8th, if not before upon the final ruling by the Bankruptcy Judge the prior week. And it is not as if this ruling was obscure and difficult to find - it was included by the Company in an 8-K.

I think FINRA and the SEC need better coordination on these bankruptcies, among other things.

32 million shares have traded since Feb 8th when the BK Judge ordered the shares cancelled. There is no excuse for FINRA to not be notified the instant a Judge's ruling occurs. The 4 1/2 day delay gave unfair and probably illegal advantage to everyone who sold shares since Feb 8th.

The saga is finally over, but it took much longer for FINRA to stop trading and delete the symbol than it should have. The stock was actually cancelled by the Bankruptcy Court on Monday morning the 8th. So anyone that was able to sell their stock and get out this week should consider it a tremendous gift.

It did. T. Rowe Price filed an amended 13G showing it has sold its entire position.

That is not how it works. The bankruptcy is official. The shares should have been cancelled on Monday, but they just haven't gotten around to it yet. It WILL happen very soon - perhaps today.

The stock should be gone first of the week, perhaps as early as Monday pre-open. Today might have been the final day of trading, but for sure it will be gone and completely worthless next week.

But you don't know when that is. Several recent bankruptcies have had the stock cancelled by the court early. It could happen here at any time, even mid-day during the trading day. You can be stuck with a lot of wallpaper at any time.

The game is over. I cashed out and took my final profits. The reason for the high volume today was simple, volume is the number of shares traded, but notice how little the spikes were. Its just people riding the little ripples trying to make a profit. Some make out and some don't, but the brokers make out the most. I was hoping for the big volume before the court date, never really happened and now it's best to listen to the nay sayers because this time they are right. It is going to zero in 6 business days. I called this a lottery stock that never happened. Time to move on to my next lottery stock, possibly HERO or ARO? Good Luck All

Just went back down and ready to go up again. Highest volume in about 4 months! That was the first wave on what is going to happen next week. It's going to be an exciting roller coaster ride on ZQKSQ next week. Enjoy it while it lasts, the ride could be over by Jan 28 or it just may go on until a post-pone court date.

Interesting, very low volume today. That's not a good sign. Do I cash out in the morning and wait for it to go down to make more profit? Or should I just hold on until the 0.40 cent mark now that all my shares have been paid for and a nice profit has already been made? I would sure hate to sell right before the big up! Absolutely meaningless to the common shareholders. The unsecured creditors and unsecured debt holders, who together are owed hundreds of millions of dollars, are slated to receive just $12.5 million to split amongst themselves. Pennies on the dollar. They want more money, which is understandable.

But for common shareholders to have any chance of receiving anything, those unsecured debtholders would have to receive 100% of their claims. And no one will cough up the hundreds of millions of additional dollars to do that, much less give the common shareholders anything.

The common stock is still going to be cancelled, and will still be worthless.

Buy it, sell it, make profit, keep 1/2 the profit, spend half the profit, have free stock. Some say that free stock will be worth nothing soon, but it's starting to look like this won't be settled by the end of this month that easily. What do you guys think of this document from today?

Well if someone bought 220000 shares at 0.0123 and sold at 0.0130 then they would of profited $120 dollars after commission and fees on a $2700 investment in less than 2 business days, and all done by computer. Sweet :) Since the stock is going to zero, what better way for me to get all my money back and still make a profit.

That is ridiculous. The volume is hardly robust, and those are hardly "big runs". In order to make that even those pathetically small profits, a person would have had to perfectly purchase on the lowest bid and sell at the highest ask, without exception. That is impossible in the real world.

Again, those are hardly "big runs". Quiksilver's common stock will be cancelled - if anyone wants to risk a lot of bucks to possibly make a few cents, go for it. But anyone who buys and holds is guaranteed to lose 100% of their investment when the bankruptcy court cancels the common stock later this month.

You must be looking at the wrong chart check it -

take note of the day BK was announced (oct.5) it hit all time low of .023, two weeks later it was hitting .061. Had you bought 20k shares at .03 for $600 and sold at .06 you just doubled your money to $1200. Following that the stock has presented 2 other opportunities to make over 50% buying channel bottoms.

Funny, but the chart says otherwise. I can't find a single "nice run", much less "several". Just dead money.

Wet Seal, another bankrupt clothing retailer, had all its shares canceled by the bankruptcy court on Thursday and the symbol is being deleted today. Shareholders received nothing. The same thing is going to happen to Quiksilver later this month.

Well it is true that "The Plan", 2nd plan that is, is to cancel all the existing common stock and restart new ones. After reading this plan carefully it does confirm that common shares (they call interest - "Class 9") will get cancelled and furthermore the holders can not vote against this.
So the bottom line is all the other DIP's get to vote on the plan, and if and only if they vote for it will this plan get approved. Judge Shannon will make his final decision based on this and the current financial status of Quiksilver at this time.
With that being said, the only way the common stocks will not get cancelled is if the DIP's vote against this plan, a new one is established, and the companies financials improve dramatically by the time of the next court date. Will the plan go thru the end of January or will this get dragged out until Quiksilver's financials increase dramatically. Of course if some merger happens in the meantime, however that possibility seems to have come and gone.

This will run big before it is gone. Watch and learn.

That is highly unlikely to happen. Another trendy apparel company went bankrupt just before Quiksilver did. Wet Seal also announced they were cancelling their common shares without payment, just like Quiksilver. And the stock NEVER "made a run", big or otherwise. And the stock was cancelled yesterday.

The same thing will happen to Quiksilver. It won't take a run because the majority of people know how to read SEC filings. They know the stock will be cancelled. Anyone who buys and hold will lose 100% of their investment.

Buying back in next week. Already traded in and out once for gains! This will run big before it is gone. Watch and learn.
