My selling for less today 2.72, than its cash on hand, 282/share

Any thoughts on earnings report?

I thought so too but does,not look like it. seems like Chinese stocks are out of flavor for the time being.

Anyone following MY. Stock seems to have reached bottom and is now in an uptrend. Plus the fundamentals look great for wind power in China and elsewhere.

can someone please tell me the results in a nut shell?

Yes , the backlog seems substantial. My nagging concern is that small China centric businesses like this see backlog and sales as more important than Margin and earnings. During one of the recent conference calls the CEO said this will be the year for earnings. I don't see them talking about stock price as a means to prosperity. They don't seem to have much awareness or concern for their investor base.
Maybe they will surprise us and book some solid profits...

I have been a shareholder for 5 years. The company does almost nothing to communicate with shareholders. If you reread the q2 report you might feel(as I do) that this quarter will be profitable. My read is that pricing and volume turned up in 2012 ,and with the long lead times between order and commissioning (activation) , we are starting to see the pricing upturn in revenues and earnings.
I am still a bit troubled that earnings and revenue are so linear and that scale doesn't seem to benefit earnings.
Nobody really follows this stock since Merrill dropped coverage 2 years ago.
They report late and have conference calls at weird times. I have been on a call at 3:00am EST .the call is translated live in a very irregular fashion which adds to the surreal tone.
So, the last quarter had positive earnings, cash grew slightly and discussion suggested that this quarter would be an improvement. We will see.

Anybody knows why it keep going down?

$WNTR undervalued PPS .0047

This is good news and broadens their overall footprint worldwide. I see a great future for this company. Also, would not be surprised if they get into other alternative energy sources in order to diversify their overall operations. I am still waiting for a big American contract. Any thoughts anyone?

What I like about the company is that it also maintain/service wind parks and/or their installations and I think that's where the real money is. Their association with the german company is paramount because Germany is heavy into wind turbines/energy.

Any competitors that can steal the show? I guess one has to believe in the future of wind power/energy and I do not see any indication that this direction is going to change anytime soon. I do think the company will have to keep up to date with the technology that drives it but I think they will leave that to the Germans. I will definately add over time.

I didn't see any risks but did notice the following on the plus side

5/22 reported a 8x gain in net income
6/2 someone bought 2618 Dec 2.5 call options, at least a couple hundred grand of options... wonder why...

Anybody see any major risks associated with this company? I guess if it keeps doing what it has been doing up to now it will do good.

"We have signed new orders of 671.5MW during the quarter, and our signed orderbook continues to grow strongly and has now reached a historic high of 3.3GW," commented Mr. Chuanwei Zhang, chairman and chief executive officer of Ming Yang. "This continues the trend established in late 2013. Benefiting from the increased demand from our customers we had been able to take advantage of larger economies of scale and our direct cost per kW had continued to decrease by 3.1 percentage points and 6.9 percentage points for our 1.5MW and 2.0MW WTGs respectively, compared with the corresponding period in 2013. Our gross margin for 2.0MW WTGs was approximately 16.6%, which was 1.6 percentage points higher than the gross margin of our 1.5MW WTGs. Our orderbook for the 2.0MW WTGs continues to increase and we expect to continue to benefit from the trend towards higher megawatt WTGs in China."
