Tokyo Stock Exchange
The Tokyo Stock Exchange or TSE, is one of the largest stock markets in Asia with over 2.3 billion shares exchanging each trading day.
As of September 2014, the TSE lists around 1,800 companies with a combined market capitalisation of US$ 4.5 trillion.
The standard trading hours are 9am to 11am and 12.30pm to 3pm in local time Tokyo, Japan. The standard time zone for Tokyo is GMT +9 hours.

Stocks listed on the TSE are separated into the First Section for large companies, the Second Section for mid-sized companies and the Mothers section for high-growth startup companies.
In July 2012, the Tokyo Stock exchange merged with the Osaka Securities Exchange. This resulted in the creation of the Japan Exchange Group which was launchedon 1 January 2013.
