Sunflower; Doug is definitely more committed than Stapleton and it seems a little more honest. Only time will tell. The hole is deep.Very deep.So much money is owed.So many of millions of shares have been swindled from this company. Rumor is larry's kids have 10 million shares.Stapleton 6 million.Doug has a few I am sure, and god only knows who else.I tried looking it up,but couldn't find it.Hell ECPN owes Steve the accountant who has 3 million shares $400K in back pay.And that'sonly one example.Even if the stock is trading it will be hard when the crooks start dumping them for it to get any traction.

Point I believe if anyone can do it Doug will. No other leader has put the time, effort, and their own MONEY into ECPN. Larry sold and gave a lot of people shares when you bought . I sold some at around 4 and like you have accumulated several million shares so yes IF Doug can do it I will be a happy camper !! If not life goes on. BTW I am one of the 41ers he refers to and I still have that excitement waiting for that release of funding..
👍️0
pointbreak33 pointbreak33 2 months ago
But Doug was hoping we could feel his excitement and optimism for the future of ECPN in the last press release.Maybe we are on the cusp of great news?I hope you have made money from this stock.I gave Lazensky $30k for 200,000 shares in 2003.Sold it for $4 a share in 2005.I have another million shares hoping it will at least get to $1.

My guess is that we have failed at securing any financing to proceed with this project. Not sure how much more Doug will put in too keep going.

About the same as me reposting my 2/2/23 post from last February and it being equally correct for this year, even though I've spoken to no one who's talked to Doug this year.

Oct. 23 Update on website.

https://www.elcapitanpmi.com/october-2023-business-update/

As I privately suspected, the funding that was mentioned as being secured in the last update either was a premature announcement or fell through. So we will wait. Hopefully for not very long this time.

no way to tell how much was true right now.

None.

What's the next commodity they'll promote? They've tried platinum, gold, silver, and iron. Rare earths is next......IMO

The update was what I would characterize as very good, but since they say it was premature, no way to tell how much was true right now. We may have to wait a few days or we could be back to square one. They are not saying much that I've heard, but I'm not real attuned too what they are doing other than reading a few forums and the website.

All well and good Mr G but they have got to start bringing in money. As I have commented these electric car batteries are going to be based on iron phosphate (LFP) so, pelletize our high grade Fe and start selling it to entities that service that industry. There must be a market for it.

(and let's dream that Tesla will locate a battery facility in NM to start producing LFP batteries for their cars. A Giga factory in line with their vertical integration supply chain, near their Austin plant and TX lithium refinery. Hey, we can dream can't we? That maybe they'd locate in Lincoln County on our property? Sure, doesn't hurt to wish upon a star).

As for gold, fine, if/when. Make some $$$ now!!!

El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc.
Business Updates — 2023
from ECPN Board Chairman Doug Sanders
May 11, 2023

I’m always happy to report good news… and the steps we continue to take to shore up the foundations of our company…

Two updates for today:

We have moved forward with a transition to a new Stock Transfer company… a company that will deliver cutting-edge technology to meet our future needs for communications to Shareholders related to Meeting Notices, Meetings and Elections, and hopefully the disbursement of Dividends. After a good bit of research, we chose a well-regarded national company. The transition process has already begun and we expect it’ll be completed within the next 30 days.
On a related note: I encourage all shareholders to visit the El Capitan Website and register your email and physical mailing address so that our database of shareholders is as robust and accurate as possible. Look for the blue box, bottom left, on the site. Here’s the link: https://www.elcapitanpmi.com/

In our on-going efforts to “clean house” — literally, in this case — I want to report that we have (as reported in 2022) satisfied the delinquent mortgage on the previously privately-owned house and two acres of land located on an ECPN patented Claim. The ownership of that property has now been transferred to our primary operating company, ECPN… which is where we will hold all assets of the company.
It’s very likely I’ll have more to report before the end of the month — and it’s our hope to shift to Weekly Updates as soon as we begin to share news on our joint venture funding (which is progressing nicely) that will open the flood gates of tasks to complete — items that we already have on our “To Do” list — and pave our path to profitability.

Until then, I’ll repeat this mantra:

Keep the faith, think GOLD, and stay tuned for more El Capitan news.

Your El Capitan,
Doug

Sidebar: Whenever I refer to our company as ECPN — our stock symbol — I am referring to the legal entity, El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc.

Ferrite. Two months after Tesla Inc. unveiled plans to drop the usage of rare earths in its future models, ferrite stocks in South Korea are skyrocketing on bets that the material will be an alternative. El Capitan has high grade iron ore. Yeah, there's some buyers waiting out there for our Fe pellets if these guys are smart enough.

Where did I read it? Go to the website and read the last PR. FWIW.
👍️0
gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
Well they supposedly signed an MOU

LOL, that is meaningless. Was that in a filing? In a PR? An interview? Where did you see that?

Not that it really matters much where you saw it - a MOU is about as worthless as a Letter of Interest (LOI). But a common tactic in penny stock land to raise interest.

Besides, don't you need a mine first? And a processing plant capable of creating those Fe pellets? And all the necessary permits?

They have none of those.
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
Well they supposedly signed an MOU with some associated company for Fe pellets. If they are smart they'll produce those high Fe content iron ore nuggets for sale as an ingredient for plug in auto LFP batteries. Then get out of the mine for $1 a share. Sell it. Most remaining shareholders would likely approve.
👍️0
gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
There is no active El Capitan "mine". It has been listed by MSHA as "abandoned" since 2015.
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
No, it wasn't ok and No I don't think they'll get any PMs, but maybe if they play this Fe right ... who knows.

Unless. Maybe you live out there and think somehow you'll prevent any possible future mining operation? If you do, funny stuff. If there is something there you won't stop it. Especially Fe pelletizing.

For those who got hurt and are still living let's hope ECPN amounts to something. Anything. Even if it takes 20 years and current shareholders die. Something to pass down to the kids.

Now unless you have some positive vibes to send ... so long. Oh, and Happy Easter.

The lying about the precious metals is okay by you? It was in the past....and now it is iron that they need to produce and sell?

Mining Claims are current. That plus:

Meetings in Phoenix with our JV partner went well and we continue to comply with due diligence and documentation requirements related to the funding we are working to secure. I expect we will have more to report on that topic in the weeks ahead.
Via our JV partnership we have executed an MOU — Memorandum of Understanding — with a potential off-take buyer for our iron ore. The buyer will take samples to one of the largest steel mills in the United States for testing. Due diligence has commenced and I will report more details when we have them.
I met with our mine operator at the mine site and our corporate attorney in Albuquerque… as we continue to prepare for production and profitability. While at the mine site in New Mexico, our JV partner and I met with the potential buyer for our iron ore… to discuss pricing and sales process as well as targeting possible sites for a pelletizing plant that would help us maximize the revenue potential of our iron ore.
Meetings in Phoenix with several advisors were very productive… as we worked through some options related to future structure of the company, solutions related to stock trading, accounting matters, and operational priorities.

It's alive at least.

Thrust is gone. Now they need to produce.

At least they have a new market in these electric auto iron phosphate batteries. No it's not as valuable as PMs but it's something. A market for their high-grade Fe. Wasn't there a decade ago.

We'll see.

Your third point is the key; it doesn't matter how high grade the material is, if it can't be recovered at a profit.

But let's back up a little. This company lied about the precious metals for years and years. And then they tried to promote the deposit as an iron mine, with that silly PR with the "Gamba report", which wasn't a report at all. How can you trust anything these grifters say or do?
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
High grade. I'm not a miner so my terminology may be off but I do understand some elementary facts (the element being Fe) about this mine. El Capitan has high grade ore.

High-grade iron ore typically refers to iron ore that contains a high percentage of iron (Fe) and has low levels of impurities such as silica, alumina, and phosphorus.Generally high grade Fe ore should:

1. Have a high iron content: High-grade iron ore should typically have an iron content of 60% or more.

2. Have low levels of impurities: The levels of impurities such as silica, alumina, and phosphorus in high-grade iron ore should be low. The acceptable levels of impurities can vary depending on the intended use of the iron ore.

3. Be economically viable: High-grade iron ore deposits that are economically viable to mine are typically those that can be extracted and processed at a reasonable cost.

In general, high-grade iron ore is in high demand by manufacturers for a variety of products as it can result in high-quality output goods. The availability of high-grade iron ore deposits can be limited, and many mines are instead producing lower-grade ores that require more processing to extract the desired iron content. The good news is El Capitan does not have low grade ore. I'd have to look at the resource report but I believe El Capitan's ore is around 68% iron content. Just what a battery manufacturer would want to lower costs and improve battery quality.
👍️0
gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
How do you define "high quality"? That is not a term I have heard anybody use in the mining business. It is a term used in promotional efforts by marketers who know nothing about mining.

But if you insist on using that term.......if it can't be mined at a profit, it ain't "high quality", that much I can assure you.

Where's the feasibility study?

Nobody is interested in the El Capitan iron deposit, there are far better/cheaper sources of iron.
👍️0
gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
So, the PR lied? It said nothing about Clyde, it only referenced her statements which included the one about nearly half a billion tons of "inferred reserves".

The early USBM drilling and reports concluded that the deposit was subeconomic. It was not "high quality", whatever that means.
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
"Ms. Gamba did not do anything remotely close to a feasibility study, and the use of the word "reserve" is inappropriate, even if it's called "inferred". "

Clyde was the geologist, not Gamba. Even the US government did some early geo reports that indicated a high quality Fe deposit.
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
The high quality of the iron ore was never in question. This is definitely high quality iron ore (look at the resource report) and maybe it can be used for these less costly iron phosphate batteries that are about to explode (no pun intended) onto the electric auto scene. If so we have a whole new industry to sell to. I'll take that over nothing. And perhaps, perhaps, this El Capitan Mine resource of high grade Fe is worth a lot more than it was a decade ago.
👍️0
gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
That was easy to find.....it was a 2018 PR by the company about a visit to the deposit by a geologist named Maria Teresa Gamba. She visited the property in October 2017 and somehow, through one visit, determined this:

Inferred reserves quantified during this prospecting trip had been estimated in a minimum of 480,000,000 tons of mineable iron materials.

That's amazing, one field trip, and she was able to come up with reserves of almost half a billion tons of iron ore. By the way, the term “reserve” means that part of a mineral deposit that can be economically and legally extracted or produced at the time of the reserve determination. Ms. Gamba did not do anything remotely close to a feasibility study, and the use of the word "reserve" is inappropriate, even if it's called "inferred".

That PR was borderline fraudulent. Like everything this company has ever done.......

gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
we have a valuable asset.

Says who? Where is a technical report on the feasibility of the iron by a reputable professional? The only "report" I ever saw on the iron was from some flaky chick that obviously had no clue what she was talking about. I'll have to go back and find that report, but I do remember it was a joke of a report.

It's a scam. A really long-running scam. Lots of people lost a lot of money.

Who cares if either a) we sell iron pellets after separating out PMs or b) we find value in Fe for an industry, electric cars, that didn't exist ten years ago, or a battery type, iron phosphate (LFP), that is just now coming into favor (Tesla just announced their intention to use LFP in mass produced Model 2s last week. The entire industry will follow). This in order to build cheap $25,000 electric cars (can't build cars cheap if you use current nickel-cobalt-aluminum. And they are more prone to fire).

Ford, GM, others will want this material. Lots of potential future sales.

The industry grew into the asset, not the other way around. So if they could get $1 a share for this thing, better than nothing. In the end we may sell as a high end iron mine not a PM mine. Most long timers (those still alive) won't complain. Got PMs? All the better.

Bottom line - we have a valuable asset. More valuable than it was when they started this company. We have high quality Fe and automakers will look for a supply (vertical integration) and competitive (better range and battery life) advantage. Time to make management aware if they aren't already.

gitreal gitreal 1 year ago
Won't all that pesky gold, platinum and silver interfere with smelting that "high quality iron ore"? The metallurgy is going to be so challenging!!
👍️0
Fullgold5 Fullgold5 1 year ago
Why might the auto industry want ECPN's Fe resources? To make LFP batteries.

High-quality iron ore can be used to help make iron phosphate batteries for electric cars. Iron phosphate batteries, also known as lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, use iron phosphate as the cathode material instead of the more commonly used cobalt or nickel-based cathodes.

Iron phosphate is typically made by reacting high-quality iron ore with phosphoric acid. The purity and quality of the iron ore used in this process can have an impact on the performance and durability of the resulting batteries. Using high-quality iron ore with low impurities can help improve the performance and lifespan of the batteries.

Iron phosphate batteries have several advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries, including greater safety and longer lifespan (and they are cheaper to make. This will enable Tesla to produce and sell, at a profit, their $25,000 Model 2). Expect lots of future demand for our high quality Fe resource as automobiles transition to electric. Pass this on to Doug Sanders.

ATTN MR GOLD. Tesla plans to use iron-based batteries in Semi electric trucks and affordable electric car so ... someone ask Doug if there is any interest in contacting Tesla to see if they want a high quality iron ore mine to make batteries for their cars and trucks. I would like to get hold of Doug Sanders and tell him but I cannot so someone please pass this on to him. I understand Tesla is planing on mining their own lithium so why not Fe? We have some pretty pure iron product.

Absolutely nothing has been going on since November. I have that on good authority. Two years since this new management has taken over, nothing has changed. Will that remain the case, I don't know, but there is a lot of talk for the past 24 months and really no action to monetize this company has happened.

There is no communication as there is nothing to say. Nobody is working to get anything done. I hope that changes but how many years do you go without questioning the management.
