ARC International plc (the "Company")

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for a Block Listing of 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each to be
admitted to the Official List.

The shares, which will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
ordinary shares in issue, will be allotted pursuant to the Chairman's share
based award as approved by the shareholders at the Company's AGM on 21 July
2004.

The shares will be allotted as and when the award rules allow.
