EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Jan. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Bubble®, the loveable bathtime friend of kids and parents everywhere, is donating $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest (RMHC-UM), thanks to thousands of Mr. Bubble fans who participated in Mr. Bubble's 10-day effort leading up to National Bubble Bath day on January 8th.

In honor of National Bubble Bath Day, Mr. Bubble and fans raised $10,000 to support Ronald McDonald House Charities-Upper Midwest. The funds will help provide a warm and comfortable home-away-from-home to more than 5,000 families who seek specialized care for their child in the Twin Cities in 2018.

Each time someone nominated a friend deserving of a relaxing bubble bath or added the Mr. Bubble profile photo frame to their Facebook profile picture, Mr. Bubble made a $1 donation in support of RMHC-UM families.  On National Bubble Bath Day, Mr. Bubble quandrulped the donation ($4) for each nomination. In total, fans raised $3,236 with Mr. Bubble contributing the remaining $6,764 for the even $10,000 donation.

In addition to the donation, Mr. Bubble made special "bubble-baths-in-a-box" deliveries on National Bubble Bath Day featuring the brand's Bubble Bath and Magic Bath Crackles to 1,000 families staying at RMHC chapters in Dallas, New Orleans, Denver, Chicago, Milwaukee, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Phoenix, Sacramento and New York City.

"We are so grateful for the support provided by Mr. Bubble and his many fans across the country," said Jill Evenocheck, RMHC-UM President and CEO.  "These funds will help us provide a warm and comfortable home-away-from-home to more than 5,000 families who seek specialized care for their child in the Twin Cities this year.  And, because Ronald McDonald House chapters across the country are always looking for ways to ease families' stress levels and provide a fun diversion at the same time, we are especially excited about the special deliveries that will be made to nine RMH chapters on National Bubble Bath Day."

In addition, from Dec. 30 through Jan. 8, one nominee each day was awarded a year's supply of bubble bath, along with the person who nominated them. Ten winners were also selected per day to win their own iconic pink bottle of bubble bath for adding the Mr. Bubble profile photo frame to their Facebook picture.

"National Bubble Bath Day is a day meant to celebrate all things bubbly and fun and Mr. Bubble wanted to share the joy of bubbles with those who are among the most deserving. Thank you to all the fans who played along with us this past week. Your efforts will benefit many families who could use a little more fun in their lives," said Michelle Hanson, Director of Marketing at The Village Company, parent company for the Mr. Bubble brand.
