10 Global Companies Lauded for Demonstrating
Innovation and Business-Process Excellence at FOCUS 2016
JDA® Software Group, Inc. today announced the
winners of the 10th annual JDA Real Results Awards. This year’s
winners are being honored at FOCUS 2016, JDA’s annual global
conference in Nashville, this week.
The 2016 Real Results Award winners were selected from among
JDA’s more than 4,000 global customers and represent companies that
have the best success stories in 10 categories: Best Results
(winners by region for North America, APAC, EMEA, and Latin
America), Best Collaboration, Best Cost Savings, Best Partner
Project, Best Time to Value, Best Innovation and the Chairman’s
award.

Selected by a panel of JDA executives, the following 2016 Real
Results Award winners have achieved industry-leading results and
transformational benefits through the deployment of JDA’s
innovative and proven solutions and services.
The 2016 Real Results Award winners are:
Loblaw Companies Limited – Chairman’s Award
With a network of corporate and independently-operated stores in
communities across Canada, Loblaw Companies Limited is Canada’s
food and pharmacy leader. Loblaw’s purpose – Live Life Well™ –
supports the needs and well-being of Canadians who make one billion
visits each year to the company’s stores. Loblaw has licensed more
than 50 individual software modules spanning 6 major solution areas
– including JDA Category Management, Intelligent Fulfillment,
Intelligent Store and Retail Planning solutions – making them one
of the broadest solution footprints of any JDA customer. By using
JDA and engaging with JDA’s professional services teams to deliver
value through the JDA-Loblaw factory cloud deployment model, Loblaw
realized rapid ROI and significant positive impacts including
streamlined processes and better product availability. The
Chairman’s award is given at the discretion of the JDA executive
committee in recognition of a company’s broad solution adoption,
innovation focus and long-standing relationship with JDA.
Asian Paints – Best Results – APAC
Since its founding in 1942, Asian Paints is the third largest
paint company in Asia with operations across 19 countries. For many
years, Asian Paints has managed its operations across 26 paint
manufacturing units through the use of JDA Supply Chain Planning.
When the company needed to address the increased complexity of its
supply chain, it naturally turned to JDA for help. Asian Paints and
JDA collaborated on this solution, which produced a new algorithm
within JDA Supply Chain Planning, enabling the companies to merge
technical capability with knowledge of supply chain dynamics. Asian
Paints, an industry benchmark of high efficiency, reduced the
excess production volume using this new algorithm, resulting in
reduced inventory and increased customer satisfaction.
Luxottica Group – Best Results – EMEA
With a strong global presence, Luxottica Group is a market
leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fashion,
luxury, sports, and performance eyewear. When the company needed to
upgrade its out-of-date planning system and fully synchronize its
customer plants in a global, multi-site environment, it turned to
partners JDA and RoGes Infotech. As part of this upgrade, Luxottica
chose JDA Manufacturing Planning to gain full visibility across the
supply chain, including inventory insight and resource utilization.
As a result, the company integrated customer processes with legacy
systems, supported company and industry requirements through
scalable customization, and reduced world-wide plan development
time by one-third.
CCU – Best Results – Latin America
Through its own brand management, licensing and distribution
agreements with some of the world’s most recognized brands, CCU is
at the top of the beverage industry in Latin America with a
presence in Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay and
Bolivia. CCU focuses on delivering, as its tagline states, a world
of flavors to consumers, in categories including beer,
non-alcoholic beverages, liquors, and wine. When the company
decided to standardize its operations and eliminate several manual
processes, it chose JDA Warehouse Management. Through this
implementation, CCU has improved inventory management, product
quality, center distribution fulfillment, and operational control.
Order accuracy and quality assurance has elevated customer
satisfaction while process monitoring and visibility has improved
productivity and problem solving. As a result, CCU increased labor
productivity by 23%, reduced picking errors by 65% and improved
services indicators by 10%.
Delphi – Best Results – North America
Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE: DLPH) is a high-technology company
that integrates safer, greener and more connected solutions for the
automotive sector. Headquartered in Gillingham, U.K., Delphi
operates technical centers, manufacturing sites and customer
support services in 44 countries. When market conditions and
regional demands resulted in equipment manufacturers adopting
different order to delivery processes, Delphi turned to JDA for
guidance. To address the challenges with made to order products,
shorter lead times, reduced inventory, and complex production
scenarios, Delphi implemented JDA Manufacturing Planning at nearly
20 sites globally. As a result, the company realized increased
order tracking visibility, improved customer experience, and better
plan compliance by limiting production to exact requirements.
DHL – Best Collaboration
With a presence in over 2,500 sites across 56 countries, DHL
Supply Chain needed a standard approach to resource management
globally. Using JDA Warehouse Labor Management, DHL gained
in-depth, measureable insights into productivity on the shop floor.
With these insights enabling better resource planning, DHL has
increased productivity and improved operational visibility on the
shop floor. These improvements directly support DHL’s business
strategy of operational standardization without compromising on a
high performance culture. Since deploying the solution, DHL’s
operations have experienced increased collaboration among teams and
positive improvements in productivity levels.
Walgreens – Best Cost Savings
As one of the largest drugstore chains in the U.S., with more
than 8,000 stores across the country, Walgreens' purpose is to
champion everyone’s right to be happy and healthy. When the company
decided to upgrade its legacy planning and execution systems, it
turned to JDA. As part of Walgreens' supply chain transformation,
it chose several JDA solutions, including JDA Dynamic Allocation,
JDA Fulfillment, and JDA Transportation Management to reduce
inventory investments, optimize transportation costs, and improve
customer satisfaction. Consolidated ordering and fulfillment will
improve inventory deployment, while better planning and
optimization of transportation routes has reduced costs and
increased customer satisfaction. As a result, Walgreens is on track
to decrease its overall transportation spending and excess
inventory.
vineyard vines – Best Partner Project - RPE
Started by Shep & Ian Murray, brothers from Connecticut,
vineyard vines is a prime example of the American dream. Known for
its whimsical neckties, smiling pink whale logo, and apparel
perfect for living the good life, the company operates over 70
retail stores and is growing. When vineyard vines decided to
implement a store-wide platform to keep pace with rapid sales
growth and new store openings, it turned to its long-time and
trusted partners RPE and JDA. To support the company’s long term
strategy, vineyard vines implemented JDA Retail Planning to improve
inventory optimization, understand omni-channel demand, and improve
customer satisfaction. As a result, the company can deliver exactly
what the customer wants, when they want it, and by their preferred
channel, making for the ideal customer experience.
Unilever – Best Time to Value
On any given day, two billion people use Unilever products to
look good, feel good and get more out of life. With over 400 brands

in so many ways. When the company decided to modernize its
warehouse management system to minimize risk and provide new
capabilities, it turned to JDA Warehouse Management, JDA Warehouse
Labor Management and JDA Track & Trace solutions. Unilever not
only updated their warehouse operations landscape, but provided a
platform to improve operations and employee productivity. The speed
of implementation, which was critical to the project, would never
