MOSCOW--Russia has made China a new offer on the price of potential natural gas supplies, Alexei Miller, the chief executive of state-controlled Russian gas major OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency Friday, as the countries try to conclude a deal following years of negotiations.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said this week that a deal could be signed "within months."

Talks have dragged on for years amid disagreements over the price.
