Goya Foods Announces Recipients Of The Annual Goya Employee
Scholarship And The Goya Culinary Arts & Food Sciences

SECAUCUS, N.J., Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Goya Foods,
America's largest Hispanic food company, today announced the
recipients of Goya's annual Employee Scholarship, awarded to the
sons and daughters of company employees and Goya's nationwide
Culinary Arts and Food Sciences Scholarship awarded to students
entering their freshman year of college to obtain their first
undergraduate degree in culinary arts and/or food
sciences.
The Goya Employee Scholarship and the Goya Culinary Arts and
Food Sciences Scholarship were established in 2011 in honor of
Goya's 75th anniversary and the company's commitment to
their employees and to higher education. "Goya has a
long-standing history of giving back to the community and
implementing educational programs to help strengthen the
development and growth of our youth and educational systems," says

The recipients of the Goya Employee Scholarship for the
2012-2013 academic year are freshmen Susana
Rivero at Palm Beach Community
College, Tabitha Yi at
Pace University, Carla Reyes at Fairleigh
Dickinson University, Kailey
Perez at Sacred Heart
University, and sophomore Chloe
Tamargo at Nova Southeastern
University. The recipients of the Goya Culinary Arts and
Food Sciences Scholarship are freshmen Emma
Rivera, Destiny Antommarchi,
Dylan Marroquin, and Jonathan Sanchez at Johnson & Wales
University.
Administered by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the nation's
largest leading Hispanic scholarship organization, Goya's annual
Employee Scholarship Fund is available annually on a competitive
basis to students entering a two-year or four-year
institution. Those applying for the Culinary Arts and Food
Sciences Scholarship must be enrolled as a freshman in a four-year
institution as a Culinary Arts and/or Food Sciences major.
Scholarships are in the amount of $5,000, awarded per academic year and are
renewable for up to three additional years provided the student
remains eligible to receive funding.
