A10 Networks Earns Common Criteria EAL 2+ Certification for AX
Series Application Delivery Controllers
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A10 Networks™,
the technology leader in Application Networking, today announced
that its AX 2500, 2600-GCF, 3000-11 GCF, 3030, 3400, 5100 and
5200-11 Application Delivery Controller (ADC) appliances received
certification for Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2+
(EAL 2+). Common Criteria certification is an international
security standard for IT security products, the achievement of
which is a significant milestone for A10's federal, government and
defense, and security-conscious enterprise verticals. The AX Series
had already received FIPS 140-2 certification last year.
"Common Criteria EAL 2+ is a significant certification milestone
for our AX Series appliances," said Lee
Chen, Founder and CEO for A10 Networks. "Together with
FIPS140-2, we now have two key certifications that demonstrate our
commitment to and advantages for the Federal, Government and
Defense markets."
Customers in government and all other verticals are under
growing pressure to ensure that information is secure across
networks, and can deploy the AX Series knowing they are certified
for the highest security standards. With the Common Criteria EAL 2+
certification, A10's AX Series ADCs join the list of certified
products in the Network and Network-Related Devices and Systems
category, having undergone rigorous testing at ADS Labs and
SERTIT.
"It is our pleasure to perform Common Criteria evaluation and
FIPS 140-2 testing of A10 Networks' Application Delivery Controller
(ADC) appliances," said Eugene Polulyakh, General Manager at
Advanced Data Security FIPS and Common Criteria testing laboratory.
"As a part of the Common Criteria evaluation process, Advanced Data
Security performed security architecture analysis, vulnerability
analysis, and penetration testing of the appliances. The
cryptographic algorithms implemented by the products were tested
and analyzed to ensure cryptographic strength and compliance with
applicable standards. The Common Criteria certification of A10
Networks' Application Delivery Controller (ADC) appliances is an
important step towards achieving a more secure Application
Networking infrastructure."
