 A German court Friday adjourned a case brought by Apple Inc. (AAPL) against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (005930.SE) for the second time, saying the patent's validity needs to be ruled on by Germany's Federal Patent Court.
The utility model in question relates to scrolling, rotating and scaling on a touch-screen, known as "pinch-to-zoom."
A week before Friday's ruling, the court adjourned another case brought by Apple against Samsung, on a patent that covers page-flipping in photo galleries, pending a decision on validity from Germany's Federal Patent Court.
Apple and Samsung's intellectual property legal disputes span Germany and the world.
