Euro Ticks Up As ECB Retains Rate At 1%

As widely expected, the Governing Council led by ECB President Mario Draghi retained the main refi rate at a record low of 1 percent. The euro edged slightly higher against its major counterparts following the rate decision. As of 7:47 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.3133 against the US dollar, 0.8120 against the pound, 105.53 against the yen and 1.2017 against the Swiss franc.
