Euro Ticks Down Ahead Of ECB Rate Decision

The European Central Bank is slated to announce its rate decision at 7:45 am ET. The Governing Council led by ECB President Mario Draghi is expected to maintain the main refi rate at a record low of 1 percent.

The euro edged lower against most of its major rivals ahead of the announcement. As of 7:40 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.3130 against the US dollar, 0.8118 against the pound, 105.48 against the yen and 1.2016 against the Swiss franc.
