Switzerland's retail sales data for March is expected at 3:15 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the franc showed mixed trading against its major counterparts. While the franc rose to a 5-day high against the yen, it moved sideways against the euro. Against the pound and the dollar, the franc declined.

At 3:10 am ET, the franc was worth 0.9094 against the greenback, 88.68 against the yen, 1.4754 against the pound and 1.2018 against the euro.
