The Australian dollar slipped against most major currencies during Asian trading on Tuesday.

The aussie reached a 4-day low of 1.0400 against the greenback and a 5-day low of 1.2742 against the euro, compared to Monday's close of 1.0431 and 1.2700, respectively.

Against the Japanese currency, the aussie fell to 83.04 from yesterday's close of 83.27.
