Compass Group PLC (CPG.LN), said Friday it purchased for cancellation 300,000 ordinary shares at a price of 652.8196 pence per share through Merrill Lynch International.

Shares closed Friday at 651.5 pence, valuing the company at GBP12.40 billion.
