Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) has formed a new, wholly owned subsidiary for open-source work and will fold its Interoperability Strategy team into the new entity, ZDNet reported, citing the company.
Microsoft Open Technologies Inc. will be headed by Jean Paoli, currently the general manager of the team, and will have about 50-75 full-time and part-time employees and contractors, the report said.
