The preliminary report of the Reuters/University of Michigan's consumer sentiment survey for April was released at 9:55 am ET Friday. Following the data, the dollar changed little against its major counterparts.

The greenback is now trading at 81.05 against the yen, 1.5929 against the pound, 0.9169 against the franc and 1.3113 against the euro.
