At 4.30 am ET Friday, U.K. producer price data for March was released. Following the data, the pound rose slightly against other major currencies.

The pound is now trading at 0.8263 against the euro, 128.83 against the yen, 1.4549 against the franc and 1.5930 against the greenback.
