Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) Friday named new managers in its greater China region.
Ralph Haupter has been named chief executive officer for the region. He is currently area vice president for Microsoft Germany. He replaces Simon Leung who is leaving for personal and family reasons, Microsoft said in a statement.
Gordon Frazer has been named chief operating officer for greater China, the statement added.
Microsoft International President Philippe Courtois said the appointments "reflect a deep commitment" to the region" and that "China represents an unprecedented opportunity for growth across the breadth of our business."
