German ZEW economic confidence survey results are due at 6.00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed performance against its major counterparts. While the euro gained against the franc and the yen, it edged down against the pound and the greenback.

At 5:55 am ET, the euro was worth 1.3140 against the greenback, 108.61 against the yen, 0.8396 against the pound and 1.2063 against the franc.
