Yen Slumps Further Against Major Rivals

The Japanese yen edged down further against major rivals in New York morning trading on Friday. At 10:15 am ET, the yen dropped to new multi-month lows of 108.84 against the euro, 128.26 versus the British pound, 90.37 against the Swiss franc, 86.73 versus the Australian dollar, 67.71 against the NZ dollar and 81.00 versus the Canadian dollar, compared to yesterday's close of 106.99, 125.98, 88.80, 85.76, 66.93 and 80.23, respectively.

As of now, the greenback is worth 108.80 against the euro, 128.15 versus the sterling, 90.28 against the franc, 86.51 versus the Aussie and 67.57 against the kiwi.

Against its US counterpart, the yen also traded further lower in today's New York morning deals. At present, the yen is trading near a fresh multi-month low of 80.80 versus the greenback, compared to 80.01 hit late New York Thursday.
