Yen Extends Weakness Against Majors

The Japanese yen extended its previous session's downtrend against major rivals during late New York deals on Friday. At present, the yen is trading near new multi-month lows of 79.88 against the Canadian dollar, 79.51 versus the US dollar and 125.95 against the British pound from yesterday's closing values of 79.23, 78.95 and 124.75, respectively.

The yen also edged down further versus other majors and as of now trading at 86.59 against the Swiss franc, 104.62 versus the euro and 85.22 versus the Australian dollar.
