Following the release of U.S. consumer price index for January at 8:30 am ET Friday, the dollar showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While dollar gained further against the yen, it declined further against the franc and the euro. Against the pound, the dollar was slightly up.

At present, the greenback is quoted at 1.5833 against the pound, 79.37 against the yen, 0.9174 against the franc and 1.3179 against the euro.
