Dow Jones News
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) said a gas compressor shut down at its
refinery in Beaumont, Texas.
In a filing Exxon sent to the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality, the company said the unit shutdown led to emissions of
sulfur dioxide on Sunday night. "All contractual commitments are
anticipated to be met," it added.
The 340,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located 80 miles east of
Houston.
