Exxon Says Worker Killed at Beaumont, Texas, Refinery

Exxon Mobil Corp. said a worker was killed Wednesday morning at
its refinery in Beaumont, Texas.
"We regret that a contractor was fatally injured in an incident
at a unit under maintenance," said Todd Spitler, a company
spokesman. "We are greatly saddened by this and express our deepest
sympathy to his family and his co-workers."
He said an investigation is looking into the cause of the
incident at the 340,000-barrel-a-day refinery, which is located
about 80 miles east of Houston.
