In 2015 Wyndham opened nearly 40 new hotels open across EMEA,
and the expansion shows no sign of slowing in 2016 with a further
50 hotels being developed. This fast-paced growth has established
Wyndham Hotel Group as the leader in bringing international hotel
brands to emerging travel destinations.
Dan Ruff, Wyndham Hotel Group's
president and managing director for EMEA, explained: "International
travel has become democratized, and more frequently we are hearing
that our guests want to travel further afield than ever before,
experience new cultures and explore unique destinations. Our
development strategy is bold yet simple - we work with local
partners to bring quality accommodation to a diverse number of
locations, including some where very few other brands are yet to
tread. The world really is becoming smaller, and we want to make
sure that wherever adventure leads there is a hotel brand nearby
that our guests know and love."
Wyndham Hotel Group's latest signings include the co-located
Ramada Encore Muscat Al Ghubra and Ramada Hotel &
Suites Muscat Al Ghubra, which will open at the end of 2018,
offering increased choice in accommodation to the growing visitor numbers to this
important capital city. Three new properties in Ethiopia – the TRYP by Wyndham Addis Ababa
Bole Road, Wyndham Addis Ababa Bole Road and the Wyndham
Garden Langano – will all open in the next few years and offer
travelers high-end accommodation in both the city and countryside
of this increasingly popular East African country. Finally, a dual
deal comprising the Ramada Plaza Najaf and Ramada Hotel
& Suites Najaf in Iraq is
expected to attract a portion of the large numbers of religious
pilgrims who visit the nearby Imam
Ali Holy Shrine every year.
