Tired of overly complicated hotel loyalty programs? Sick of
never getting that free night stay you deserve? Get ready to join
the new Wyndham Rewards®: a re-imagined hotel loyalty program
that’s simple to understand, easy to use, and that dollar for
dollar, lets members earn more and redeem faster than any other
program in the industry.
Launching to consumers globally on May 11, 2015, under the
tagline “You’ve Earned ThisTM,” the new Wyndham Rewards program
bucks the travel industry trends of devalued points and confusing
rewards categories and offers members a generous points earning
structure and a flat, free night redemption rate – the first of its
kind for a major rewards program.
Among the program’s core features:
- The “Go FreeSM” award: With just 15,000
points, members can redeem a free night at any of the program’s
more than 7,500 hotels globally with no blackout dates.
- The “Go FastSM” award: Members who want
to redeem their points sooner or stay longer for less can book a
night at available hotels for just 3,000 points plus cash.
- More points for faster rewards: For
every qualified stay, members now earn 10 points for every dollar
spent or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay, whichever is
more.
“Primary research tells us that 89 percent of travelers want to
redeem their points for a free hotel night and that more than half
feel that the majority of rewards feel unattainable,” said Josh
Lesnick, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at
Wyndham Hotel Group. “The new Wyndham Rewards program addresses
these sentiments head-on. Whether it’s the family’s annual summer
vacation or an unexpected stay out of town, our new program makes
it easy for members to earn the points they need, understand what
they have earned, and redeem their points for rewards they actually
want.”
Beginning on May 11, 2015, members will see their existing
points automatically transferred into the new program. Following
the launch of the program, a new updated mobile app will be
launched to provide a simpler, more streamlined member experience.
Finally, new and updated world-class elite membership tiers for the
program’s most loyal members are expected to roll-out later this
fall.
To launch the re-imagined program, Wyndham Rewards has invested
in a multi-million dollar advertising campaign, consisting of TV
commercials, print, radio and digital, which will roll out
throughout the United States starting on May 11 and then Canada
shortly thereafter.
The new Wyndham Rewards program was unveiled before more than
6,000 franchisees at the 2015 Wyndham Hotel Group Global Conference

Dollar for dollar claim of members earning more and redeeming

average daily rate of under $100 and industry wide points plus cash
