Among the companies with shares expected to actively trade in Monday's session are Stec Inc. (STEC), Vanguard Health Systems Inc. (VHS) and Keynote Systems Inc. (KEYN).

Western Digital Corp. (WDC) agreed to acquire Stec for $340 million in cash as it looks to expand its presence in the enterprise solid-state drive market. Disk-drive maker Western Digital said the deal equates to $6.85 for each Stec share, representing a 91% premium to Friday's closing price. Stec shares rose 87% to $6.70 premarket.

Tenet Healthcare Corp. (THC) agreed to acquire acute-care and specialty-hospital operator Vanguard Health Systems for roughly $1.63 billion in an effort to diversify its service offerings. Tenet said it will pay $21 in cash per Vanguard share, a 70% premium to Vanguard's Friday close. Vanguard shares jumped 67% to $20.61 premarket. Tenet shares rose 5.7% to $44.25.

Keynote Systems agreed to go private in a roughly $395 million deal with the private-equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC. The company said it will receive $20 a share in cash, a 48% premium to Friday's close. Shares rose 47% to $19.88 premarket.

American International Group Inc.'s (AIG) aircraft-leasing unit filed updated initial public offering documents Friday, following an extension earlier this week of a deadline for a Chinese consortium to get regulatory approvals to purchase the unit.

Facebook Inc. (FB) disclosed a security lapse on Friday that exposed the contact information of about six million users. The company says the issue has been resolved. The bug made users' contact information, such as email addresses and phone numbers, accessible to other Facebook members who already had either a friend connection or some other contact information about that user.

Flagstar Bancorp Inc. (FBC) has agreed to pay Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. $105 million in connection with a pending lawsuit involving loans that Assured insures.

Gray Television Inc. (GTN, GTN.A) said President and Chief Operating Officer Robert S. Prather Jr. has resigned, effective immediately, but didn't disclose a reason. The television broadcaster also said it gave Chief Executive Hilton H. Howell Jr. the added title of president.

NRG Energy Inc. (NRG) has raised its guidance for 2014, citing increased synergies arising from last year's acquisition of rival GenOn Energy Inc. The company also said the raise stems from an updated outlook on forward commodity prices, competitive markets, and the impact of what it called mild weather seen so far this year.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has expanded the approved use of Theravance Inc.'s (THRX) antibiotic, Vibativ, to treat adult patients with pneumonia caused by a certain type of bacteria.

Worthington Industries Inc. (WOR) on Friday said it will close its BernzOmatic hand-torch manufacturing operation in Medina, N.Y., and consolidate it with an existing facility in Chilton, Wis.
