A pair of advisers from Wells Fargo Advisors have left the company to form their own independent firm, taking more than $250 million in assets with them.

Charles Eberly Jr. and Lawrence DeFluri launched their registered investment advisory firm, SevenBridge Financial Group, on Monday with the support of Dynasty Financial Partners. Another adviser and a support staffer also joined the new Harrisburg, Pa., firm from Wells Fargo.

A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo & Co.'s brokerage unit wasn't immediately available for comment.

Mr. Eberly was formerly a senior vice president and investment officer with Wells Fargo Advisors in Harrisburg. He began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1992.

Mr. DeFluri was previously a managing director at Wells Fargo. Prior to that, he was a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney.

One of SevenBridge's specialties is working with clients who receive income from natural-gas leases on their properties, the firm said in a statement.
