LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation's largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, is planning to honor its 2015 Class of scholarship recipients in Miami, on August 4, 2015, with the help of National Presenting Sponsor Wells Fargo, Local Presenting Sponsor Macy's, and Local Supporter Carnival Corporation & plc.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Scholar Celebrations are intimate receptions held in major cities throughout the U.S., where HSF acknowledges and congratulates the current class of HSF Scholars and their parents and welcomes those who are new to the HSF Family. The gatherings also provide Scholars an opportunity to interact with HSF Alumni, fellow HSF Scholars, staff, and donors, and to establish a network, through these contacts, that HSF hopes will last a lifetime.

The events also feature keynote speakers and give Scholars the opportunity to share what their scholarships mean to them. Vincent Cordero, HBO Latin America's Chief Operating Officer and HSF Alumnus, will deliver the keynote address at this event.

"Our Scholar Celebrations are amazing gatherings that give us an opportunity to celebrate our incoming class of Scholars, to honor their families, and to provide the students with an opportunity to experience what it means to be a member of HSF's family and our extensive academic and professional network," said Fidel A. Vargas, President & CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund. "We are proud to welcome these extraordinary students into our midst and have an opportunity to wish them well prior to the fall term."

"Wells Fargo's partnership with HSF allows us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many young people and to continue to advance the importance of seeking higher education," said Georgette "Gigi" Dixon, Director of Strategic Partnerships. "We are proud to help celebrate the new scholars and the hard work they have put into their studies."

"Macy's believes in giving students the best opportunities possible, and through our partnership with HSF, we continue our advocacy for education and commitment to the Hispanic community," said Dineen Garcia, VP, Diversity Strategies. "Investing in education for Latinos is investing in America."
