in the area, according to the Kansas City RootScore® Report,
conducted by Seattle-based
RootMetrics. In the new RootMetrics first half 2016

Verizon won the overall performance award in Kansas City.
RootMetrics is an independent mobile analytics firm that uses
off-the-shelf consumer smartphones to test the network capabilities
of all four major U.S. wireless carriers in six network performance
categories across various geographies.
This marks the ninth consecutive time Verizon has won or tied
for the Overall RootScore Award in Kansas
City. Verizon was also ranked first in network speed and
data performance and tied for first in network reliability, call
performance and text performance.
RootMetrics professional testers drove 1,756 miles throughout
the Kansas City metro area in the
recent study. They compared national wireless competitors in 31
indoor locations and conducted over 20,000 total tests from
June 2 to June 9, 2016.
