Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on Monday reported flaring at the west plant of its refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas.

"Operating conditions at Valero's West Refinery has made flaring necessary," the refinery said in a statement sent to the community alert line. No further details were provided.

Valero's 300,000-barrel-a-day refinery in Corpus Christi is made up of west and east facilities.
