U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) today is announcing that it will begin
selling the stunning new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note5
smartphones in stores and online on Aug. 21. The Galaxy S6 edge+
and Note5 have brilliant 5.7" Quad HD Super AMOLED displays, and
both devices will be available for $0 down with U.S. Cellular’s
installment pricing. The company will offer the 32GB version of the
Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note5 in black, along with a 64GB version of
the Note5, also available in black.
“At U.S. Cellular, we want our customers to have the latest,
most innovative devices that can enhance and simplify their lives,
and Samsung has certainly created two smartphones that can give
customers an immersive entertainment experience while also allowing
them to get their work done faster,” said Joe Settimi, vice
president of marketing for U.S. Cellular. “With these new devices,
we are thrilled to offer our customers the best wireless experience
to go along with our superior network that keeps them connected
across the country.”
With its innovative dual-edge screen, the Galaxy S6 edge+ is an
ultra-slim device with a large screen that gives you a bigger
entertainment experience for your movies, games, photos and
documents. Its sleek bezel and metal frame design lets you do
everything with one hand, and the edge screen gives you a shortcut
to your favorite contacts and apps from any screen. The Galaxy S6
edge+ also features live video broadcasting that lets you take live
video and stream it via YouTubeTM, letting viewers see exactly what
you’re seeing in real time.
The reimagined and more powerful Note5 has a thin metal and
glass design and features an upgraded S Pen that is only available
on Note devices. With SideSync, you can easily and quickly drag and
drop photos and documents between your Note5 and most PC and Mac
devices, or even respond to a phone call or text message from your
computer. The Note5 also makes it simple to multitask by allowing
you to open two apps side by side and easily switch between them,
so surfing the web while watching a video has never been
easier.
Other advanced features of both devices include:
- Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa core 64-bit
processor with 4GB of RAM.
- 16MP rear-facing and 5MP front-facing
cameras with image stabilization and low-light sensor.
- Wireless charging capabilities and
embedded wireless charging technology compatible with virtually any
wireless pad available in the market today1.
- Fast Charging and Ultra Power Saving
Mode.
With U.S. Cellular’s $0 down installment pricing, qualified
customers pay tax on the Galaxy S6 edge+ or Note5 at the point of
sale, and then make 20 monthly payments that are conveniently added
to their bill. Customers can upgrade their device in as little as
12 months if they trade it in for any new device with installment
pricing. They can also choose to pay off the full balance of their
device anytime they want. With two year agreements, the Galaxy S6
edge+ will be available for $299 and the Note5 will be available
for $199.
New Equipment Installment Contract, Shared Connect Plan and
credit approval required. Financing terms are zero down, zero APR;
20 monthly payments. Additional terms, conditions and/or charges
