In a single afternoon, UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare and
Optum executives fanned out across the Twin Cities yesterday for a
day of service benefiting 40 Minneapolis-based nonprofit
organizations.

This citywide community service project enabled UnitedHealth
Group leaders to give back to the greater Minneapolis community.
Volunteer activities ranged from preparing and serving meals in a
homeless shelter, and interacting with patients at Children’s
Hospital, to providing skills training to various community
organizations. The community service project resulted in more than
2,400 high-impact hours of volunteer service.
The service project was conducted in partnership with Engine for
Good, a Minneapolis-based organization that creates engaging and
inspiring community experiences that leverage the skills of
talented professionals in service to the greater good.
