Moms and moms-to-be took steps to improve their health and the
health of their babies by participating in baby showers organized

showers in Cleveland and Cincinnati are part of a series of eight
community events that will take place throughout the state to
provide expectant moms and new parents with important prenatal and
well-baby care resources and information.

Public Health who participated in a Community Baby Shower hosted by
UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio. At the event moms met with
health experts and representatives from the Greater Cleveland
MomsFirst program and the Cleveland Department of Public Health and
were able to get answers to many of their questions about their
pregnancy and child-care safety. Moms also received information
about UnitedHealthcare’s Healthy First Steps case management
program and BabyBlocks®, a free online wellness-incentive program.
