LONDON--Unilever PLC (ULVR.LN) said late Friday it is buying hair care product firm Living Proof Inc for an undisclosed sum.

The Anglo-Dutch consumer products firm, which houses Domestos, Dove and Hellman's among its brands, said Living Proof will be part of its prestige portfolio, which includes brands such as Dermalogica, Kate Somerville, Murad and REN.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017, subject to customary regulatory approvals, it added.
