Time Warner Earns 100 Percent on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Fifteenth Annual Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality

Time Warner Inc. announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation that has tracked employer progress toward full LGBT workplace equality since 2002. Time Warner is one of 517 major U.S. businesses earning top marks this year. This is the 10th consecutive year Time Warner has achieved this honor.

Lisa Garcia Quiroz, President of the Time Warner Foundation and Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer of Time Warner Inc. said:

“As a creative company of storytellers, a diverse and inclusive workplace is not only one of our most important business practices, it is a cornerstone of who we are as a company and a hallmark of our company’s success. We are so proud that, for the 10th year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation has recognized us with this honor.”

The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Time Warner’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in this year’s 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
