By William Launder Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) Turner Broadcasting division has acquired The Bleacher Report in an effort to ramp up its online sports news content, the company said Monday. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier Monday that Time Warner would pay $175 million for the San Franciso-based online publication. The deal has been in progress for several months. "Bleacher Report is a strategic acquisition that further enhances Turner's portfolio of sports offerings," said David Levy, president of sales, distribution and sports at Turner Broadcasting. Turner owns cable channels TNT, TBS and CNN but also manages several sports websites including NBA.com and PGA.com.
