Trinity Industries, Inc. Issues Statement Regarding Recently Announced Enhanced Tank Car Standards

Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation and Transport
Canada together announced the enhanced tank car standards for both
newly built and retrofitted tank cars in flammable service. The new
design regulations are in line with what the Company expected would
occur. Trinity’s rail subsidiaries are now in the process of
reviewing schedules and will comply with these new regulations.
