Thermo Fisher Scientific Prices Offering of Senior Notes

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) announced today that
it has priced an offering of $1.0 billion aggregate principal
amount of 3.000% senior notes due 2023 at an issue price of 99.512%
of the principal amount.
The issuance of the notes is expected to close on or about April
13, 2016, subject to customary closing conditions. The notes will
pay interest on a semi-annual basis.
Thermo Fisher plans to use the net proceeds of the offering and
cash on hand to redeem all of the outstanding $1.0 billion
aggregate principal amount of its 2.250% senior notes that mature
on August 15, 2016.
The joint book-running managers for the offering are Merrill
Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated; Goldman, Sachs
& Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC.
