FRANKFURT -(Dow Jones)- Demag Cranes AG (D9C.XE) said Tuesday it's considering talks offered by Terex Corp. (TEX), the U.S. company seeking to take over the German cranemaker. A week earlier, Demag said Terex's unsolicited tender offer of EUR41.75 a share for Demag stock disregarded the crane maker's potential to significantly increase its sales and profit over the next five years, and advised shareholders against it. A Demag spokesman Tuesday said the company will "impartially examine" the offer of talks. Terex wasn't immediately available to comment on the matter Tuesday.
