Current And Former World Champions Voted On By Fans To Be Featured On Collectible 18-Packs Of The Nation's #1 Imported Beer

New York, August 1, 2016 - Corona Extra, the #1 imported beer in the U.S., unveiled its 2016 limited-edition Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series bottles in conjunction with the July 30 "SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING presented by PBC" fight headlined by the featherweight world title clash between Leo Santa Cruz and Carl Frampton from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The specially-wrapped collectible bottles are available in Corona Extra 18-packs and feature the image, stats and signature of select PBC boxers. Corona Extra held a fan vote on social media earlier this year to select the featured boxers:

• DEONTAY WILDER            Heavyweight World Champion
   
• KEITH THURMAN              Welterweight World Champion
   
• LEO SANTA CRUZ              Featherweight World Champion
   
• DANIEL JACOBS                 Middleweight World Champion

The Corona Extra Limited Edition boxing bottles will be available in the U.S. from August 15 through October 31. This is the fourth limited-edition boxing bottles collection that Corona has released for consumers.

This spring Corona announced that it extended its partnership with the PBC Series to serve as Presenting Sponsor and Official Beer of the PBC Series. Also this year, Corona released its first-ever boxing-themed TV commercial - Never Alone - featuring PBC Series boxers Deontay Wilder, Leo Santa Cruz and Danny Garcia.
