Selection and Southern Business and Development
Magazine, as a top utility for economic development.
Site Selection magazine named Mississippi Power in the
honorable mention category in its annual Top Utilities in North
America for Economic Development list. Site Selection
chooses its winners based on a number of factors including new
corporate activity, website and innovative programs offered to
business prospects.
Mississippi Power also is recognized by Southern Business and
Development magazine as one of "Mississippi's Most Admired Service Companies."
The recognition is included in the magazine's inaugural Best of
Economic Development in Mississippi awards list to be published in its
next quarterly edition. This list consists of 30 economic
development categories such as most admired manufacturers, best
economic development law firms and best local economic development
agencies.
